So as a quick disclaimer, though I’ve reviewed these similar tools from Dremel on an individual level, i thought this review could be directed towards being a good gift giving option.
#1. Dremel Multi-Max MM20 tool with a 2.3 amp motor
These oscillating multi tools are incredibly useful. It’s always so nice to have a saw that can reach into a tight awkward spot to cut a weird piece out. Includes a wrench that sits onto of the unit to help with blade/accessory trade out.
#2 Dremel Saw-Max SM20
This tool comes in super handy when cutting out straight cuts. I found this to be very helpful when cutting out the outlet spots in the built in cabinets that i was installing.Includes a circular saw style adjustable depth cut lock.
Large grip switch with a safety. ergonomically very comfortable and keeps you in good control.
- Small multi material abrasive cutting wheel to easily complete common household cuts. i used this to cut through 3/4 in plywood and is worked really well.
#3 Dremel 3000 Rotary Tool
The rotary tool is always great for those fine cuts or even quick abrasive touch ups.
- Small unit can be quickly hung up on wall with the rest of the tools.
Overall I like this package. its affordable enough for anybody to get into. The only thing I don’t like about the MM20 is the accessory release mechanism. I really like the release on the MM-45. but pretty nice kit for a package deal.
